The image above shows lines in a building. I choose this image because it displays an elegant building with an almost symmetrical appearance in a classic black and white. However then at the bottom of the photograph it shows what appears to be a river and give a nice contracts between strong straight lines and the curved waves below.

The photo of the shells opposite display how lines are created in natural objects and in the environment. I like the way in which the image is filled with the shells showing how these lines and patterns are easily recreated in nature. The curved lines make a change to many of the images usually associated with lines and an image to portray lines. I think that this image highlights how lines are often curved and when in nature can occur in any sequence.

This image displays an organised connections of lines through the rail way and telephone lines placed above. The way in which they lines have been photographers, due to the angle, create a direction of eyesight down and alone the rail way. Keeping a strong focus on the right side of the image. The lines in this photograph also help to create an interesting depth in the image.

By focusing on the lines on this image it can help to show the structure and way of which this structural object is designed. I like the way in which the shadows have been created and help to display the 3D nature of the object being photographed. There is also a contrast of straight lines and curved on from the slight appearance of trees and the clouds above. I think this shows how we have consumed many of the natural side with man made objects and show how we forget the natural lines and unique patterns that occur. Also the black and white overlay of this image also helps to highlight the shadows and strong bold lines displayed in this image.
